Roseanne Barr has found another way to insult former Obama aide, Valerie Jarrett.

The comedian appeared on the Fox News program, Hannity, on Thursday night to discuss the tweet that prompted ABC to cancel her self-titled sitcom.

As she went through a range of emotions – from laughter to anger – Barr told host Sean Hannity she’s sorry for her tweet comparing Jarrett to a cross between the Muslim Brotherhood and Planet of the Apes.

“I’ve apologized a lot. It’s been two months. I’ve apologized and explained and asked for forgiveness,” the comedian said in her first TV interview since ABC fired her in May.

Barr added that the tweet cost her “everything.”

“I made a mistake obviously. It cost me everything. My life’s work. Everything,” she said.

She also repeated her claim that she didn’t know Jarrett was black.

“You could have knocked me over with a feather when they said she was African-American,” Barr said. “I thought she was Middle Eastern.”

In yet another jaw-dropping moment, Barr said the bizarre comments she made about Jarrett in a July 19 YouTube video – “I thought the b-tch was white” – were meant to be a joke.

Toward the end of the interview, Hannity asked the comedian what she would say if given the opportunity to speak to Jarrett.

“I’m so sorry that you thought I was racist and that you thought my tweet was racist, because it wasn’t,” she said. “It was political. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding that caused, my ill-worded tweet. And I’m sorry that you feel harmed and hurt. I never meant that, and for that I apologize.”

Not one to leave well enough alone, she then took another dig at Jarrett.

“Plus I’d tell her, she’s gotta get a new haircut,” Barr continued. “I mean seriously, she needs a new haircut.”
