Porsha Williams denies calling U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on estranged husband Simon Guobadia, but she admits immigration issues did take a toll on their marriage.

In a wide-ranging new interview on “The Breakfast Club,” Williams confirmed she was tired of being “pulled aside” by immigration agents when she traveled with her ex.

ICE detained Guobadia, who is a native of Nigeria, last month as the Trump administration cracks down on undocumented immigrants. According to published reports, he’s being held at the Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, Georgia.

Porsha told “The Breakfast Club” she had no reason to alert ICE to Simon’s whereabouts, because his detention is delaying their divorce.

“For him to be locked up, mentally and financially, it doesn’t benefit me,” she said. “Just because you’re going through a divorce doesn’t mean you hate someone. I hate actions, I hate lies, I hate a lot of characteristics, but I love the person, and I would never wish harm on anybody.”

She added, “I’m trying to finish my divorce, and I can’t do that if I don’t have a person to divorce. We need to be in court.”

Porsha joked she wouldn’t be surprised if Simon escapes his immigration ordeal unscathed.

“At the end of the day, I know that he’s the kind of person, he’s a slithering snake. He’s gonna find his way out of it. I’m sure he’ll be fine. And I pray for him, his family, and I hope they all figure it out,” she said.

The reality star and actress sat down for Wednesday’s interview to promote season 16 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. After being away from the Bravo series for three years, Porsha told the radio hosts she’s ready to share more of her life with fans.

“I have a certain relationship with my fans. I’ve been doing a show for 10 years, and they’re really not fans. I call them supporters, because they’ve been with me through everything, a divorce, giving birth to [daughter] Pilar on TV, ups and downs of life,” she explained.

Porsha admitted she thought she’d be showcasing a solid marriage when she signed her contract to return.

“When I first decided to come back to the show, I was happily married, like ‘I’m about to really show y’all a strong storyline, that is gonna be extra popping,'” she said. “But as life is, turn of events, it’s not always perfect. And so by the time we started filming, that’s when the real storyline started.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta returns Sunday, March 9 on Bravo at 8 P.M. ET/PT, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
