Michelle Williams and fiancé Chad Johnson will share intimate details about their path to marriage in a new OWN reality series titled Chad Loves Michelle, the network announced Thursday.
Williams and sports chaplain Johnson met at one of his spiritual retreats in March 2017. The two bonded over their faith and became engaged a year later.
Each episode of the reality series will follow the couple as they deal with real issues surrounding their relationship, including pre-marital counseling sessions, and the singer’s battle with mental health issues. In July, the former Destiny’s Child singer announced on Instagram that she was seeking professional help to address her mental health.

The series will also show that the two are waiting to consummate their relationship until after marriage. “Both are relocating to Los Angeles from different cities in the months leading up to their wedding, but not to the same bedroom,” OWN said in a statement.
Williams and Johnson will serve as executive producers along with Sergio Alfaro, Michaline Babich and Holly Carter. Chad Loves Michelle premieres on Saturday, Nov. 3, at 9 p.m. ET on OWN. The series will be part of the network’s new Saturday night lineup.
The programming block includes Ready to Love, a new dating show hosted by Thomas “Nephew Tommy” Miles that will feature “sexy, successful and grown” Black men and women in their 30s and 40s, who are seeking meaningful relationships. The series comes from Will Packer Media and Lighthearted Entertainment, and is scheduled to premiere in October. Two other shows focusing on love and relationships titled Family or Fiancé and Rocket City Revival are expected to premiere in 2019.
“These new shows all feature passionate relationships and the desire to keep love alive and will captivate viewers from the very beginning,” said OWN President Erik Logan.
