Nick Cannon has some choice words for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The Wild ‘n Out star took the Academy to task during a Wednesday appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, where he continued to defend his friend, comedian Kevin Hart.

Cannon accused the Academy of holding Hart — who stepped down from his Oscars hosting gig on Dec. 6 after refusing to apologize for old homophobic tweets —  to an unfair double-standard.

“If the Academy wants to step up and say, ‘You are going to be held accountable for your past,’ they should be held accountable for their past,” the 38-year-old entertainer explained to Williams.

He added: “They treated us wrong for so long. Hattie McDaniel had to sit in the back corner at the Oscars the night she won an Oscar for Gone With the Wind. It had to be segregated. We didn’t get an apology for that.”

Cannon also said he “commends” Hart for his personal convictions, stating: “Honestly, I know how much it meant to him, and I had to stand up for my best friend and just to show the selective outrage and hypocrisy that’s out there.”

Prior to the California native’s appearance on Wendy, he shared controversial tweets from prominent female comedians to drive home his defense of Hart.

When a fan told Cannon to “audit” his own tweets, he shot back: “Nope!! You know I’ve been saying f—ked up s—t since twitter started! I don’t play that politically correct bulls—t! F—k politics!! Only Truth!”
