A new book about the sexual misconduct allegations against Harvey Weinstein details alleged harassment of female employees and actresses, a family confrontation, and a plan to intimidate Weinstein’s accusers.

Titled She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement, the book is written by New York Times reporters Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey, who broke the story of the Hollywood mogul’s alleged misconduct in 2017, sparking the #MeToo movement.

She Said offers accounts from previously unnamed sources and copies of private communications between Weinstein and the people in his world.

Excerpts published Sunday by The New York Times include a letter from the producer’s brother and business partner, Bob Weinstein, urging him to get help two years before the allegations were publicly disclosed.

“You have brought shame to the family and your company through your misbehavior,” the letter said.

Weinstein has been accused of misconduct by dozens of women, including actresses Salma Hayek, Annabella Sciorra, Paz de la Huerta, Rose McGowan, and Lupita Nyong’o.

The book alleges the mogul’s then-attorney Lisa Bloom was working behind the scenes “to quash the journalists’ investigation” and declare war on his accusers.

Bloom, who is the daughter of women’s rights lawyer Gloria Allred, allegedly spelled out details in a confidential memo from December 2016.

There was a suggestion for a “pre-emptive interview” about women’s issues, that would make him the “hero of the story, not the villain.”

The republished memo also includes a suggestion for a campaign against McGowan, one of Weinstein’s most vocal accusers.

“I feel equipped to help you against the Roses of the world, because I have represented so many of them,” stated the memo. “We can place an article re her becoming increasingly unglued, so that when someone Googles her this is what pops up and she’s discredited.”

Bloom has since resigned as Weinstein’s lawyer and said representing him was a “mistake.”

McGowan responded Sunday on Twitter, writing: “The evil that was perpetrated on me and others was mind bending and illegal. Lisa Bloom should be disbarred.”

Weinstein is facing a criminal trial on sexual assault and rape charges. He has denied ever having nonconsensual sex and pleaded not guilty.
