Naturi Naughton has sign on as one of the leads in the pilot for ABC hip-hop drama Queens.
Naughton, who is best known for playing Tasha St. Patrick on the Starz drama Power, will star opposite rapper and actress Eve in Queens.
As previously reported, the pilot centers on four estranged and out-of-touch women in their 40s who reunite in hopes of recapturing their fame from the time they worked together as 1990s hip-hop group Nasty Bi-ches.

Naughton plays Jill, aka Da Thrill, who founded the music group.
Here’s how ABC described the pilot in a statement to Variety: “Twenty years ago, Jill, aka Da Thrill, founded the Nasty Bi-ches in high school, living fast and large while dropping rhymes and struggling with a drug habit. Today, Jill is a put-together devout Catholic, living a quiet life in Montana with her husband— but everything is not quite as it seems, as Jill continues to be haunted by the past. The Nasty Bi-ches reunion allows Jill to escape her issues at home but returning to her rap persona conjures up difficult memories. A friendship with a young rapper that she has almost nothing in common with will help Jill figure out the person she needs to be.”
Naughton will continue her role as Tasha in the second season of Starz’s Power Book II: Ghost.
