Jamie Hector has joined the growing cast of Netflix’s upcoming sports drama series Myron Bolitar.
Hector, who is best known for his roles as an LAPD homicide detective on Bosch and a ruthless street kingpin on The Wire, will recur as Avery Crowder, a man with a criminal past who is determined to make it in the sports business “by any means necessary.”
The series follows a former NBA star named Myron Bolitar (played by Colin Woodell), who reinvents himself as a talent agent and uses his charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes and sometimes dirty world of sports.
In a press release on July 23, Netflix announced several additions to the cast.

Ra’Mya Latiah Aikens has landed a series regular role as Wanda Green, fiancée of tennis prodigy Dwayne Richmond, played by Bel-Air alum Jabari Banks.
Isaiah Hill, of Swagger fame, will play Jayden Elder, a college freshman and generational basketball talent who is expected to become the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.
Amanda Warren (East New York and The Night Agent) has been cast as Deanna Richmond, Dwayne Richmond’s mother.
Quincy Isaiah (Winning Time) will play Rodney Keys, one of Myron’s clients.
Bebe Neuwirth (The Faculty and Cheers) joins the cast as Myron’s mother, Ellen Bolitar.
Griffin Dunne (After Hours and This Is Us) will play Alan Bolitar, Myron’s father who provides sound advice and support.
Melissa Benoist (The Waterfront and Supergirl) has been cast as Valerie Simpson, a former tennis star launching a comeback five years after a mysterious breakdown on center court.
Charlie Tahan (A Complete Unknown and Ozark) will play Roger Quincy, a man who refuses to be defined by his past but can’t seem to escape it.
Sandrine Holt (Your Friends & Neighbors and The Shrouds) will play Detective Sharon Steele, who is brought in to help investigate a high-profile crime.
Previously announced cast members include KJ Apa as Win Lockwood, alongside Diane Guerrero, Chloe Fineman, Jamie McShane, and Ben McKenzie.
Inspired by author Harlan Coben’s popular 12-book series, Myron Bolitar is being developed by Emmy-winning producer David E. Kelley and Kyle Long, who serve as co-showrunners, writers and executive producers. Greg Yaitanes will direct multiple episodes.
The series marks the latest collaboration between Netflix and Coben, whose previous adaptations have become some of the streamer’s biggest global hits.
A release date will be announced later.
