Jabari Banks has landed his next big role.
The Bel-Air alum joins the cast of the upcoming Netflix sports drama Myron Bolitar as Dwayne Richmond, a tennis prodigy who is expected to become a superstar.
According to Netflix, Banks’ character Dwayne is the top client at MB Sports agency and is known as much for his talent as his signature shoes and trademark sunglasses.
The role marks the actor’s next high-profile project after his breakout performance as Will in Peacock’s Bel-Air, which ended in December 2025 after four seasons.

The series comes from Emmy-winning producer David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies and Ally McBeal) and writer-producer Kyle Long (Suits). Kelley and Long will serve as co-showrunners, executive producers, and adapt the series from author Harlan Coben’s bestselling 12-book series.
Also joining Myron Bolitar is Saturday Night Live alum Chloe Fineman as sports reporter Parker Quinn. Fineman announced her exit from the NBC sketch series on July 16, after seven seasons.
Jamie McShane (Wednesday) has been cast as a seasoned NYPD homicide detective named Ray Dimonte. Banks, Fineman and McShane have all signed on for series regular roles.
Ben McKenzie (Gotham) landed a recurring role as Gavin Pierce, a powerful sports agent who once represented Myron before dropping him because of a career-changing injury. The two characters remain at odds years later.
Netflix previously announced Colin Woodell (The Purge) will star as Myron Bolitar, with KJ Apa playing his wealthy friend Win Lockwood, and Diane Guerrero portraying Esperanza Diaz.
“After an injury ends his NBA dreams, Myron Bolitar reinvents himself as a sports agent — using charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes and dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself,” the official description reads.
Harlan Coben has a long-running deal with Netflix dating back to 2018.
His most recent adaptation, I Will Find You, is among the streamer’s most-popular original scripted shows of 2026. The series hit #1 for four consecutive weeks on the English-language TV chart and brought in 74 million total views by its third week.
The New Jersey native has successfully brought more than 13 of his books to the screen including, Fool Me Once, Run Away, Safe, The Woods, The Innocent, Gone for Good, Stay Close, Hold Tight, The Stranger, Missing You, Just One Look, and Caught.
In total, Netflix says Coben’s shows have been viewed more than 300 million times.
