The golden popcorn statues were handed out Sunday night at the MTV Movie & TV Awards, with Leslie Jones, Anthony Mackie and the late Chadwick Boseman among the winners.
Boseman received the Best Performance in a Movie award for his role is Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Anthony Mackie’s role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier earned him the Best Hero award, and Leslie Jones picked up the Best Comedic Performance honor for her role in Coming 2 America.
Saturday Night Live alum Jones hosted the ceremony, which saw the audience give Boseman a standing ovation when he was announced as a winner.

The ceremony aired live from the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. There was an in-person audience, although Jones said the audience had been through “multiple rounds of testing” and the production followed “rigorous set protocols” in adherence with Los Angeles County COVID-19 restrictions.
