Mike Tyson is stepping back into the ring to take on influencer-turned-boxer Jake Paul.
The July 20 match will be carried live on Netflix, the streamer announced Thursday.
As the media giant looks to add more live sports events, Netflix is partnering with Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) to bring the heavyweight boxing match to audiences.
The fight will take place in the 80,000-seat capacity AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys.

Tyson (50-6, 44 KOs) is a former world heavyweight champion. Known for his fierce punch, his career was marred by numerous arrests and personal struggles.
Paul is a YouTuber, who became a boxer (9-1, 6 KOs). He’s faced his own controversies and scandals over the years.
Their fight will be Netflix’s third live sports event, following The Netflix Cup and The Netflix Slam.
“I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas,” Tyson, 57, said in a statement. “He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years… It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”
Paul, 27, added, “It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons.”
The fight will stream live globally on Netflix, Saturday, July 20, 2024
Additional information will be announced at a later date. Presale tickets are currently available.
