Mike Epps and Katt Williams are bringing the laughs in the spooky sequel The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2, a follow-up to the 2016 hit Meet The Blacks.

The horror comedy stars Epps as Carl Black, a suburban dad whose life is spun upside down when a peculiar cast of characters attract strange activity after dark. His new neighbor Dr. Mamuwalde (Williams) seems to be living a double life as both a pimp and a vampire, and Carl gets in some antics to protect his wife and kids.

In the trailer, Carl tells his wife Lorene (played by The Oath’s Zulay Henao), “It’s a little pimp in there. P-I-M-P: putting it in my pocket.”

In another scene, Dr. Mamuwalde seems to flirt with Lorene while having a glass of wine and Carl isn’t having it.

“Hey, that’s my wife,” he scolds. “She will be mine,” Dr. Mamuwalde cryptically says before turning into a bat and flying away.

The additional cast includes Bresha Webb (Ride Along 2), Lil Duval (Scary Movie V), Tyrin Turner (Menace II Society), Alex Henderson (Creed), Michael Blackson (Dutch), Andrew Bachelor (Holidate), Gary Owen (Ride Along), and Snoop Dogg returning from the first film. Danny Trejo (Machete, From Dusk Till Dawn) and Rick Ross join the supporting cast for the sequel.

The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2 is co-written and directed by Deon Taylor (Fatale, Black and Blue.)

“We first made the film because it is rare that we get comedies that speak to the urban culture,” Taylor said in a statement. “After the success of the first film culturally and theatrically, it was only right to service the fans that were demanding a sequel. This is why we make art and why it’s important for more black filmmakers to emerge.”

Taylor co-wrote the script alongside Corey Harrell. The movie is produced by Hidden Empire Film Group’s Taylor, Roxanne Avent Taylor and Omar Joseph, Naptown Productions’ Mike Epps, Angi Bones and Shannon McIntosh, and executive produced by Robert F. Smith, Katt Williams, Michael Finley and Joaquin Guedes.

The House Next Door: Meet the Blacks 2 arrives in theaters on Friday, June 11. Lionsgate will partner with Hidden Empire to release the film on demand and on blu-ray/DVD later this summer.
