Meghan McCain walked off the set of The View Friday following a heated exchange with Ana Navarro.
This latest dispute (there are many) happened during a segment about a whistleblower complaint alleging President Trump made an alarming “promise” to a foreign leader.
Right-leaning McCain denounced Trump’s critics and tried to shift the conversation away from the allegations by making a confusing comparison to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.

McCain insisted “there’s a lot of people on the left” who consider Assange a “patriot” for leaking Hillary Clinton’s emails. The other panelists were perplexed and asked who these people are. The only specific McCain could offer was “Bernie supporters.”
“I think all interference from a foreign country in our election, all of it is bad and should be condemned and you can’t play party politics with this, and there’s a lot of people on the left who are doing that with Julian Assange,” McCain said. “I’m mad there are people on the left that think that Julian Assange is OK.”

Later in the segment, McCain tripped over her words while trying to interrupt Navarro.
“Excuse me! Maybe I was clumsy in the way that I said it,” McCain said to Navarro.
“I’m two feet away, I don’t need you to scream at me this way,” Navarro shot back.
“I don’t know what you just said,” McCain responded dismissively.
“I said don’t scream at me, I’m two feet away,” Navarro said.
“You know what? That’s so rude, Ana,” McCain replied. Joy Behar then tossed to commercial break, with cameras recording McCain walking off set.
McCain cooled down and was seated at the table when the show returned from break.
