Emotional Second Season of ‘Love & Marriage: Detroit’ Gets Premiere Date

“I’m tired,” newly separated Kristina Bowman-Smith tells her estranged husband through tears in the trailer for season 2 of Love & Marriage: Detroit

Along with Brandon and Kristina, the OWN reality series follows two other couples – Russell and Kolby Harris and Anthony and Dr. LaToya Thompson.

“Kristina re-evaluates her marriage to Brandon and restarts her singing career. Kolby and Russell clash over the possibility of having another child, while LaToya struggles to balance her work as a doctor and wine entrepreneur and family as a wife to Anthony,” the official synopsis reads.

OWN announced Friday, Aug. 9,  season 2 of the drama-filled series will premiere Sept. 7.

The show’s three couples are determined to thrive in their community and build the best lives for their families. 

Season 2 will also feature two new couples, Marcel and Kimberly Dobine, and Bravo and Lekeita Samuels.

The producer of the unscripted series is Kingdom Reign Entertainment. The creator of the Love & Marriage franchise, Carlos King, serves as executive producer.

King and OWN started to work together in April 2021, when he first inked a deal with the network and launched Love & Marriage: Huntsville.

Along with Huntsville and Detroit, there is another series in the franchise set in D.C.

Love & Marriage: Detroit season 2 will premiere on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9/8c, then move to its regular time slot of 8/7c on Saturdays starting Sept. 14.

The first episode of airs immediately after the season finale of Love & Marriage: Huntsville.
