Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Lil Rel Howery, and Teyonah Parris will bring comedy to the holiday season in the Disney+ movie Dashing Through the Snow.
The original film about a dad who’s lost faith in Christmas until he meets a mysterious man in a red suit premieres this November, the streaming service said in a press release Tuesday.
Ludacris stars as Eddie Garrick, a social worker for the Atlanta police department, who ignores Christmas because of a traumatic childhood experience. At the request of his estranged wife Allison Garrick (Teyonah Parris), Eddie takes his 9-year-old daughter Charlotte (Madison Skye Validum) to work on Christmas Eve, where they meet a man wearing a red suit named Nick (Lil Rel Howery).
Eddie and his daughter “are taken on a magical adventure that just might restore his faith in Christmas,” according to the film’s official description.

The cast also includes Oscar Nuñez, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Ravi V. Patel, Gina Brillon, Kevin Connolly, and Zulay Henao.
The movie comes from producers John Jacobs and Will Packer. Tim Story (The Blackening, Ride Along) directed the film from a script written by Scott Rosenberg.
In a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Story said Lil Rel and Ludacris bonded on set.
“They gave each other the space and the support to give some really great performances,” the filmmaker explained. “I got very lucky that they both were willing and able to do it.”
Executive producers on the family holiday comedy include Johanna Byer, Ross Fanger, Tim Story, and Zac Unterman.
Dashing Through the Snow begins streaming Nov. 17 on Disney+.
