A bride-to-be’s growing obsession with her fiancé’s past takes a dangerous turn in Lifetime’s upcoming thriller, The Jealous Bride.
As recently announced by the movie network, the faith-based thriller stars Amber Stevens West (The Neighborhood and Run the World) as Meg, a woman preparing to marry the love of her life.
But her plans for a happily ever after are thrown into turmoil when a woman from her fiancé Josh’s past, unexpectedly reenters the picture.
Michael Xavier (Wild Cards) stars as Josh, whose former connection with Simone (Donna Benedicto) sparks a wave of jealousy and suspicion from Meg.
“Consumed by doubt, Meg spirals into a perilous obsession that threatens to destroy her love, her faith, and her future,” the film’s official description reads.
The thriller is produced by Navid Soofi for Novus Pictures in association with Studio TF1 America and Shalom Canada Productions. Troy A. Scott directs from a story by Nell Scovell and a script written by Nneka Gerstle.
This project also continues Lifetime’s push into faith-based programming. In Summer 2025, the network launched its first slate of faith-based films, with Kat Graham, Chrissy Metz, Alexa PenaVega and Paula Patton among the stars leading those movies. The slate featured stories of women finding strength through their faith.
The latest movie is one of two new thrillers debuting on Lifetime this month. As previously reported, Grammy-nominated rapper Remy Ma will star in Don’t Trust the Girls Upstairs, which premieres June 20.
The Jealous Bride debuts Saturday, June 13 at 8/7c on Lifetime.
