Lifetime will mark the 30th anniversary of Nicole Brown Simpson’s death with a docuseries shedding “new light” on her life and murder.

The series titled The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson is scheduled to air June 1 and 2, and will include new details and exclusive home videos, per Lifetime.

In a press release on Thursday, May 2, the network described the two-night docuseries as “explosive” and said it will feature interviews with 50 participants, including Nicole’s friends and family members.

“Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder and O.J.’s proclaimed innocence have been the subject of scrutiny for years, but the story has always been missing one key side… Nicole’s. Now, on the eve of the 30th anniversary of her death, Nicole’s story will finally be told as her three sisters – Denise, Dominique, and Tanya – and her closest friends come forward for the first time to share her truth,” the official description says.

On June 12, 1994, Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman were stabbed to death outside her home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.

Police quickly identified Nicole’s ex-husband, NFL star O.J. Simpson, as a suspect.

O.J. turned himself in to police and stood trial for the murders. In October 1995, a Los Angeles jury acquitted the sports legend. Although he was found liable for both killings in a civil case in 1997.

Lifetime says the documentary “pulls back the curtain on the woman behind the murder and trial of the century.”

“What happened to our sister Nicole should never have happened to her or to any other woman,” the Brown sisters said in a joint statement.

O.J. died on April 10, 2024, at age 76 after battling cancer.

The Brown sisters said Nicole’s life was “stolen” by the NFL Hall of Famer.

“While her abuser is finally gone, it doesn’t take away the anguish we feel or the pain of her children who lost their mother. We hope that by sharing Nicole’s story, it will help others recognize the signs and get the help they need and her legacy will continue to live on,” the Brown sisters said in their statement.

The docuseries comes from the same executive producers as Surviving R. Kelly and The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard.

The docuseries is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions for Lifetime. Jesse Daniels (Surviving R. Kelly), Melissa Moore (The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard), Rit Saraswat (Surviving R. Kelly: Part II), Brie Miranda Bryant (Where is Wendy Williams?, Surviving R. Kelly), Kim Chessler (Dance Moms) and Julie Pizzi (Vanderpump Villa) serve as executive producers.

The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson airs the weekend of June 1 and 2 at 8/7C on Lifetime.
