Kevin Hart says he’s planning to “shock the world” with his upcoming Netflix drama series True Story.

Hart is executive producing and will co-star in the limited series alongside Wesley Snipes. The drama centers on a fictional comedian (Hart), who reconnects with his long-lost older brother (Snipes) during a comedy tour stop. What follows is a night that could threaten the comic’s career.

The project is written and executive produced by Narcos and Narcos: Mexico showrunner Eric Newman.

So I teamed up with my brotha Eric Newman who is one of the best writers/creators/producers in Hollywood… If you watched Narcos on Netflix, then you are familiar with his work.”

Kevin Hart co-starred in the 2017 drama film The Upside with Bryan Cranston and Nicole Kidman. The comedian is currently filming The Man from Toronto, which is set to be released next year. Snipes will next be seen in Coming 2 America.

A release date for Netflix’s True Story will be announced later.
