Kevin Hart has been released from a Los Angeles hospital tens days after he suffered serious back injuries in a Sept. 1 car crash.
The Ride Along actor was taken to a physical rehab facility following his release from Northridge Hospital Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 11, according to Us Weekly.
“He is in great spirits and doesn’t need to be taking a lot of the pain medication,” an insider told the magazine.

Hart underwent back surgery following the crash, and is expected to spend about two weeks in rehab before he can go home.
“Doctors have cautioned that he may need to stay longer,” the insider added. “The plan is for him to have a physical therapy aide living at the house when he is discharged.”
Hart’s friend, 28-year-old Jared Black, was behind the wheel of the comedian’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda when it careened off winding Mulholland Highway in Calabasas just before 1 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said the day of the crash. The car plowed through a wooden fence, rolled over and landed in a ditch. A third person in the vehicle, Black’s 31-year-old fiancée Rebecca Broxterman, suffered minor injuries.
Authorities said Black lost control of the vehicle and was not under the influence of alcohol.
