Kandi Burruss has confirmed cast changes are coming to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. But for now, producers haven’t said who will make the cut for season 16.
“They are definitely shaking things up,” Burruss told Access Hollywood during a recent red carpet interview.
“They haven’t said who they are bringing back from the current cast,” she added. “There are so many rumors of someone from the previous cast, or maybe a couple of them, coming back as well as the newbies. I believe there’s truth to all of that.”

The singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur joined RHOA in season 2 and is the longest-running housewife on all the Bravo franchises.
She told Access if it were her choice, former housewives Porsha Williams and NeNe Leakes would return for the new season.
“I really would like to see Porsha come back,” she said. “I would like to see NeNe come back. I mean, we don’t necessarily get along all the time, but I think she’s good TV.”
Leakes was on RHOA between 2008 and 2020. In April 2022, she sued NBCUniversal, Bravo, the show’s production companies and executive producer Andy Cohen, alleging racism and a problematic workplace culture at RHOA. The case was settled a few months later.
In an August podcast interview with reality TV producer Carlos King, NeNe said she was “phased out” of RHOA, and felt “hurt” because none of the other cast members fought for her to keep her job.
But there’s apparently no hard feelings between NeNe and Kandi, who says she’d include the RHOA alum if she could assemble a “dream cast.”
Burruss would also include Kenya Moore, Eva Marcille and Cynthia Bailey “to balance out all that energy.”
She didn’t mention season 15 cast members Drew Sidora, Shereé Whitfield, Marlo Hampton or Sanya Richards-Ross.
Burruss made the comments just before she was recognized by Variety as a one of the 40 Most Powerful Women on Reality TV in 2023. RHOBH star Kyle Richards, Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves, The Bachelorette star Charity Lawson, Flavor of Love and House of Villains star Tiffany Pollard, and Vanderpump Rules executive producer Lisa Vanderpump also made the list.
