Dr. Zachary Okhah, the plastic surgeon who reportedly performed a “Mommy makeover” on Jacky Oh before she died, has released a video statement to “clarify certain facts” about his practice.
Okhah, who goes by Dr. Zach on social media, uploaded the video to Instagram on June 28.
“Hello everyone, it’s Dr. Zach,” he begins in the video captured by The Neighborhood Talk. “Yes, my name has been in the tabloid media and understandably sensationalized given the circumstances.”
Okhah goes on to say he cannot mention specifics about any of his patients because of privacy laws, but says his clinic is safe.
“I want to clarify certain facts that have not been reported and are public knowledge,” he says. “As many of you know first hand, my reputation in Miami for safety is exemplary. I am not willing to operate, without exception, on any patient if my preoperative protocols for medical clearance are not wholly met.”

The surgeon then says all patients must first get medical clearance from another physician, of their own choosing, before undergoing any surgical procedure at his practice.
Okhah adds that his medical license remains “active and unrestricted” and he is in good standing with the Florida Department of Health.
The surgeon has faced scrutiny since model, comedian and Wild ‘N Out star Jacky Oh died on May 31.
Jacky, whose full name was Jacklyn Smith, shared a picture of herself on social media with Okhah, right before she passed away.
Instagram accounts @surgeonmade_curves and Hollywood Unlocked both captured the post before it was removed. It included the caption, “Getting ready for my mommy makeover with Dr. Zach!! Stay tuned to my YouTube for the full reveal!”
According to the Miami Police Department, officers responded to a local hotel regarding an unresponsive female on May 31.
The police report obtained by Urban Hollywood 411 said Jacky was transported to Mercy Hospital, but the medical staff was unable to resuscitate her and she was pronounced deceased at about 11 p.m.
According to the police report, Smith was 33 years old.
Her partner, fellow Wild ‘N Out performer DC Young Fly, remembered her as a devoted mother to their three young children at her funeral on June 10.
“She made sure our kids was loving each other and praying, I’m talking about at a young age,” he explained.
Her cause of death has not yet been released.
