Jacky Oh Remembered by DC Young Fly in Heartfelt Tribute as Police Release New Details About Her Death

DC Young Fly shared a tribute to his late partner Jacky Oh on Instagram Thursday, a week after she died.

The comedian and Wild ‘N Out star honored Jacky with a gallery of photos, and offered an update on how their three young children are doing.

“You are the GREATEST MOTHER I KNOW, your soul was beautiful,” he captioned the post. “Yu always wanted the best for others and I admired how our family loved each other!!! Never had to worry about our kids loving each other cause you were on top of Dat!!!”

He added that their family is “God fearing” and is relying on their faith during this difficult time.

“We never question the HIGHER POWER,” the post continued. “We roll with the punches and continue to live righteous, will always tell our kids how much of an amazing person you were especially a GREAT MOTHER!!! You know how our last convo went. I prayed for Yu and now we are here.. but it’s ok we willll continue to pray and hold on to our FAITH because that’s alll we kno!! Love you forever and our kids are super strong.”

DC Young Fly, 31, also explained why he waited a week to share the tribute.

“I wanted it to be a dream so bad but every hour I’m reminded of reality so I wanna make sure I applaud you in the proper manner,” he explained.

Jacky passed away in Miami eight days ago. Her cause of death has not yet been released, but multiple media outlets reported she visited a Miami-based plastic surgeon for a “mommy makeover” right before she died.

New details about her death emerged this week.

According to the Miami Police Department, officers responded to a local hotel regarding an unresponsive female on May 31.

The police report obtained by Urban Hollywood 411 said first responders were called to the hotel at 9:43 p.m.

The report included the address of the business, which is a Homewood Suites by Hilton Miami Downtown/Brickell.

Police said Jacky, whose real name was Jacklyn Smith, was transported to Mercy Hospital. But the medical staff was unable to resuscitate her and the attending physician pronounced her dead at approximately 11:00 p.m.

According to the police report, she was 33 years old.

Jacky was an actress, model and comedian who starred on MTV’s Wild ‘N Out with DC Young Fly.

Following news of her death, a spokesperson for BET Media Group posted a statement on the Wild ‘N Out Instagram page.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jacky Oh, a talented Wild N’ Out family member whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” the statement read.

“Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons,” the post continued. “More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children. The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”
