The animated Disney-Pixar film debuted in 4,440 theaters for an incredible per location average of $34,910, according to box office tracking company Comscore.

Adding to its accomplishments, the sequel to Inside Out (2015) is the first movie this year to open domestically with more than $100 million, surpassing the debuts of Dune: Part Two at $82.5 million; Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire’s $80 million; Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes‘s $58.4 million; Kung Fu Panda 4 with $57.9 million; and Bad Boys: Ride or Die’s $56.5 million.
