“Our hearts are with Chance’s loved ones as we grieve this shocking loss,” the actors said. “We will remember the special moments we had together, his infectious smile that could light up any room, his warm hugs and the authenticity he carried with him always. Last week fellow Gen V cast member Patrick Schwarzenegger shared several pictures of Perdomo on an Instagram Story and wrote: “Rest in peace Chance… Love yah buddy. Hope you’re up in heaven with a cigar.”

Perdomo, 27, was killed late Friday night or early Saturday morning.

His publicist said no one else was involved in the crash. Additional details, including where it occurred, were not released.

“On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” the publicist for the actor said in a statement issued Saturday.

Deadline, which was among the first outlets to report on Perdomo’s death, said the accident happened in Upstate New York.

On March 17, Perdomo shared a post on Instagram that included two selfies and a picture of a motorcycle. He captioned the post, “Day 77. Final calm before storm. #backontheroad.”

The actor most recently played Andre Anderson on the first season of superhero adventure Gen V, which is a  Prime Video spinoff of The Boys.

The series was reportedly scheduled to return to production on April 8 in Canada. However, production has been delayed indefinitely following Perdomo’s death.

The actor also had roles on the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Midsomer Murders, Hetty Feather, and the After film franchise as Landon Gibson in After We Fell (2021), After Ever Happy (2022), and After Everything (2023).

He was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Southampton, England.

Perdomo described himself as “a Black child raised by a Latino mother in a white society with two nationalities.”
