Actor Chance Perdomo Dies in Motorcycle Accident at 27

Chance Perdomo, an actor best known for his work on the TV series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and Gen V, was killed Friday in a motorcycle accident. He was 27.

Perdomo’s publicist confirmed his death in a statement to the media on Saturday, March 30.

“On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” the statement said.

His reps did not say where the accident happened, but noted that no one else was involved in the crash.

Perdomo most recently starred on the superhero series Gen V, a Prime Video spinoff of The Boys. Amazon MGM Studios released a statement on X mourning the actor’s  death.

“The entire Gen V family is devastated by the sudden passing of Chance Perdomo. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television extend our heartfelt thoughts and support to Chance’s family and all who loved him at this difficult time,” the statement read.

Amazon included a note from the producers of Gen V, who remembered the actor as “incredibly talented.”

“We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” the producers said. “Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Perdomo’s Gen V co-star Patrick Schwarzenegger posted a tribute in an Instagram Story on Sunday. Schwarzenegger included several pictures  of Perdomo and wrote: “Rest in peace Chance… Love yah buddy. Hope you’re up in heaven with a cigar.”

The series debuted in September 2023 and was renewed for a second season in October. Variety reported production on season 2 of Gen V has been “delayed indefinitely” after Perdomo’s death.

The actor was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Southampton, England. He had roles in Midsomer Murders, and the After film franchise as Landon Gibson in After We Fell (2021), After Ever Happy (2022)and in After Everything (2023).

In 2019, he was named BAFTA Breakthrough Artist by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts for his work in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

BAFTA wrote in a tribute Sunday on X, “We’re saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Chance Perdomo at the age of 27.”
