‘The Facts of Life’ Cast Reunites in Trailer for Lifetime Christmas Movie

Tootie, Natalie, Blair and Jo are reuniting for the holidays.

The actresses who played the popular characters on The Facts of Life have gotten back together for the Lifetime holiday movie, You Light Up My Christmas.

The film stars Kim Fields as “Emma,” who reconnects with an old flame over the holidays. Mindy Cohn, Lisa Whelchel, and Nancy McKeon also appear in the festive film.

Here’s how Lifetime describes the project: “Inspired by true events, Emma (Fields) returns to her hometown built around her family’s pioneer Christmas Light Factory two weeks before Christmas. However, upon Emma’s return, she discovers the lights have gone dim in the once festive town, prompting her to reconnect with an old flame to set their hearts and the town ablaze with light again.”

In an interview on Lifetime’s website, Fields said she wants viewers to take away something positive from the movie.

“Remember your inner light and that, even if it’s dim because of life, circumstances, loss, heartache or social media, dim light is still light. Share it with others to create a little more light, a little more brilliance,” she said.

Fields and the other actresses appeared together on The Facts of Life from 1979 to 1988. The NBC comedy centered on the students at a fictional all-female boarding school, and also featured the late Charlotte Rae as housemother Edna Garrett. Rae passed away at age 92 in August 2018.
