Penny faces a big dilemma on The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder — and Today show weatherman Al Roker is there to help.
In the latest episode titled “When You Wish Upon Al Roker,” Oscar embarrasses Penny (Kyla Pratt) when he insists on chaperoning her first date with Kareem. Things do not go well.
Frustrated by her lack of freedom, Penny makes a deal with a magical Al Roker, who grants her wish to be a college student and suddenly she and her crew are coeds able to do anything they want. Still, Penny struggles to balance responsibility and freedom, forcing her to confront the fact that she may not be emotionally ready to be on her own.

The Proud Family reboot debuted on Feb. 23, and follows 16-year-old Penny Proud and her madcap family, parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe, and grandmother Suga Mama.
The cast includes Kyla Pratt (Penny Proud); Cedric the Entertainer (Uncle Bobby Proud); Tommy Davidson (Oscar Proud); Paula Jai Parker (Trudy Proud); Jo Marie Payton (Suga Mama); Karen Malina White (Dijonay Jones); Soleil Moon Frye (Zoey Howzer); and Alisa Reyes (LaCienega Boulevardez).
Lena Waithe (Master of None), Jaden Smith (The Get Down), “Desus Nice” Baker (Desus & Mero), Jeremy O. Harris (Broadway’s Slave Play), Bresha Webb (Love That Girl!), Karrie Martin (Gentefied), Ashton Sanders (Moonlight), Holly Winter (Heart & Soul), and Lamorrne Morris (New Girl) are also featured.
