Changes continue across Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise, with Crystal Kung Minkoff announcing her exit from RHOBH.
Minkoff shared details in a video she posted to Instagram on Monday, April 15.
“I just wanted to share the news that I will not be coming back to film Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” she said. “It’s very bittersweet. Never did I think I would’ve been asked to do this show in a million years, let alone film it for three seasons.”

The entrepreneur and co-founder of Real Coco (coconut water products) noted that she was the first Asian American cast member on RHOBH.
“Every single year I was asked back, it was a blessing. It was an honor,” she continued. “Being the first Asian American on Beverly Hills was a lot of weight on my shoulders that I have since just have really understood the magnitude of what that means for people.”
Minkoff thanked viewers for their support, and said she hopes she was able to encourage others by opening up about her struggles with an eating disorder, and her father’s Alzheimer’s disease diagnosis.
She continued by saying she’s looking forward to the future.
“This is not goodbye, this is see you soon. I have some other things going on that I will be sharing with you soon,” she said.
Minkoff is married to movie director Rob Minkoff The Lion King (1994) and The Haunted Mansion (2003). The pair have two children and the family has been featured on RHOBH.
The Daily Mail reported Minkoff’s contract was not renewed.
“They don’t want her back because they feel she has done all she can do on the show and she no longer has much to add to the drama, so another contract has not been offered,” an insider claimed to the outlet.
The insider added that Minkoff’s exit was amicable.
“They appreciate her contributions to the show, and the parting is not ugly, but it just is time to move on,” the source continued. “She wanted to leave the show for a while, she is sick of all the fighting and hashing things out, it became like a never-ending rollercoaster for her.”
Minkoff is the second cast member to leave RHOBH in a month.
On March 21, Annemarie Wiley released a statement saying she was “disappointed” that she was let go from the series after one season.
Meantime, Robyn Dixon just announced she was “fired” from The Real Housewives of Potomac.
“I will not be returning to season 9 of The Real Housewives of Potomac,” Dixon shared Monday, April 15, on her “Reasonably Shady” podcast. “The network did not invite me back. I was fired, for lack of better words.”
And on March 25, her castmate Candiace Dillard Bassett announced her departure from RHOP.
“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey,” she said in a statement to People magazine. “With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP.”
Bassett shared Monday that she and husband Chris Bassett are expecting their first child together.
“I am about 13 weeks … so just about into the second trimester. It’s been weird, but also really wonderful, I think, to keep it kind of to ourselves to this point,” she told Entertainment Tonight in an article published on April 15. “Our immediate family know. I told my mom on her birthday in February. My dad knows, [Chris’] parents know, my siblings know and that is my core, best friend group, but outside of that it’s just been, like, kind of quietly just growing a bun.”
