Columbus Short and Drew Sidora have landed lead roles in the upcoming Bounce TV comedy series Mind Your Business.
The half-hour sitcom is set to premiere on June 1, Bounce announced Monday, April 8.
The original comedy centers on a Chicago family that owns an event space and runs a business helping others celebrate life’s biggest events. But the family members are often at odds and “there’s a need for referees instead of DJs.”

Columbus Short, a professional dancer and choreographer, is best known for his roles in the film Stomp the Yard and the ABC drama series Scandal.
Drew Sidora, a singer and actress, has been a main cast member on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta since 2020.
Urban Hollywood 411 asked her publicist, Dominic Friesen, if she would remain on RHOA. In a statement, he replied: “For years, Drew has successfully balanced the challenges of shooting multiple projects and motherhood. The addition of Mind Your Business to her demanding schedule will be no different.”
Short will play business owner Alfonso and Sidora co-stars as his sister Aaliyah on the series.
The cast also includes singer and radio host Bebe Winans as Henry; former talk show host Rolonda Watts as Lucille; Caryn Ward Ross as Kimberly; Brely Evans as Mia; Bryce Xavier as A.J.; and Chloe Elise Ellis as Jordan, Alfonso and Kimberly’s youngest child.
Here’s the show’s official description: “Lucille Williams’ once-prospering 30s-and-older lounge, Lucille’s Place, took a huge hit forcing her to sell. Lucille’s baby brother, Henry Williams, couldn’t stand by and let Lucille’s Place slip away, so he recruited his fraternal twins, Aaliyah and Alfonso, to keep the business in the family. With Aaliyah’s creative sensibilities and Alfonso’s business mind, a safe space for planning and hosting events was born… Although the new-and-improved Lucille’s brings everyone together, their affairs end up causing a mess bigger than a college frat party.”
Mind Your Business is produced by Harvest Studios and executive produced by Bentley Kyle Evans (Martin and The Jamie Foxx Show).
The series premieres Saturday, June 1, with two back-to-back episodes starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.
Bounce also announced the summer return of comedy series Johnson about four lifelong best friends who all share the same last name.
