A$AP Rocky was found guilty of assault on Wednesday by a Swedish court, but he won’t have to serve additional jail time.
Two members of the hip-hop star’s entourage, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, were also convicted for their roles in a June 30 street brawl in Stockholm.

The New York rapper, real name Rakim Mayers, was not required to appear in the Stockholm court, CNN reported. He was given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay a fine of 12,500 Swedish krona ($1,300) to the victim. The three men are also required to repay the victim’s legal fees.
After the verdict was handed down, A$AP Rocky released a statement in all caps on Instagram.
“I am of course disappointed by today’s verdict,” he wrote. “I want to say thanks again to all of my fans, friends, and everyone who showed me love during this difficult time. Imma keep moving forward. Thank you to my team, my management, attorneys, label and everyone who advocated for justice.”
The rapper, 30, and his associates were accused of assaulting Mustafa Jafari during a street fight. Prosecutors alleged the three men kicked and beat Jafari, a 19-year-old Afghan refugee, with a glass bottle while he lay on the ground.
A$AP Rocky was arrested on July 2. He testified that Jafari and another man followed him and his friends, and instigated a fight with the hip-hop star’s bodyguard.
The three men’s arrests caused tensions between the U.S. and Sweden. U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Hostage Affairs, Robert O’Brien, attended the rapper’s three-day trial to “support the members of the family and the American citizens.”
Rocky and his associates spent nearly a month in jail before they were released earlier this month.
The Grammy-nominated rapper was in Sweden for a music festival. He has previously said he acted in self-defense after being accosted by “drug addicts.”
