The drab dressing rooms at the Today show will soon be upgraded, after Kelly Rowland bailed on the morning show last month — reportedly over her “subpar” dressing area.

Hoda Kotb and co-host Jenna Bush Hager recently shared details about the makeovers with Page Six at an event in New York.

“We are [upgrading them]!” Hoda told the outlet on Thursday, Feb. 29.

Although Jenna downplayed the changes, saying they’ll be subtle.

“We have four words for you: lipstick on a pig,” she said jokingly. “Just some wallpaper, some nice fake flowers.”

Details about the upgrades came after Rowland walked out on a guest hosting gig at Today on Thursday, Feb. 15.

The singer and actress appeared on the 8 a.m. hour of the show to promote her new Netflix film Mea Culpa. She was slated to co-host the fourth hour of the show that day with Hoda, while Jenna was on vacation.

The New York Post, which was the first outlet to report on the incident, said Rowland walked out of Today‘s New York studios because her team wasn’t happy about the size of her fitting room.

Her abrupt exit reportedly left Kotb “scurrying” to find a new co-host, a source told the Post.

British singer and TV host Rita Ora had been scheduled to appear on the show as a guest and stepped in at the last minute to host.

Ora posted pictures from her Today hosting stint on Instagram and said the opportunity opened up at the very last minute.

“Well, this happened! We had two minutes to prepare ahhh, thank you @hodaandjenna for asking me to co-host the show,” Ora captioned the post. “Everyone was so lovely and kind, I had SO much fun doing it!! Love to everyone that tuned in, maybe we should do more??!!!”

A few days later, Kotb addressed the situation during a broadcast of Today With Hoda & Jenna.

“I just want to say this: I have great love and admiration for Kelly Rowland,” Kotb said on the Feb. 20 episode of the show and invited Rowland back.

“She can share my dressing room. We’ll be in it together,” she said.
