Cardi B wasn’t quick enough to hide her frustration from fans while watching the 2024 election results unfold Tuesday night.
The “WAP” rapper shared a video on X, saying: “This is why some of y’all states be getting hurricanes. That’s what I’mma say.”
She quickly deleted the post. But outlets like TheWrap took notice that Cardi posted the video at 8:42 p.m. PT, after Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and North Carolina were officially called in favor of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Last week, the rapper officially endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris at a campaign rally in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Speaking of Wisconsin, the Associated Press confirmed on Wednesday, Nov. 6 that Trump won the election over Harris because he got to the needed 270 electoral votes to become the 47th U. S. president and it was Wisconsin’s 10 electoral votes that helped him cross the finish line.
After her controversial video, Cardi did show her softer side on Wednesday afternoon via her official Instagram account, where she thanked Harris for running and for being a good example for her “daughters and women across the country.”
“To Vice President Kamala, no matter what they’ve said to bring you down or belittle your run for presidency they can never say you didn’t run your race with honesty and with integrity!” the rapper wrote.
“You really put up a fight against all the odds that were already stacked against you! You never accepted defeat as an option which says so much about your strength and about your heart. You really wanted better for ALL of us,” she added.
