Candiace Dillard Bassett is saying goodbye to The Real Housewives of Potomac following six seasons on the Bravo reality show.
In an official statement to People magazine on Monday, March 25, Dillard said she wants to focus on other career opportunities.
“As I embark on a new chapter after six remarkable years with The Real Housewives of Potomac, I am filled with gratitude for the enriching friendships, personal growth and moments of introspection that have defined this journey,” Dillard Bassett stated.
“With a whirlwind of new opportunities and responsibilities on my plate, I have decided to take a break from RHOP,” she added.

Dillard Bassett left the door open for a possible return.
“This is not a farewell, but a ‘see you later,'” she said. “Your unwavering support has been my guiding light, and I look forward to the exciting adventures that lie ahead — and more importantly, sharing them all with you!”
A source told People Dillard Bassett made the decision to leave on her own and was not forced out.
The former beauty queen and “Drive Back” singer is a cast member on ALLBLK’s drama series Hush and has appeared in a string of BET+ projects.
She joined the cast of RHOP in season 3. News of her departure comes after filming the season 8 reunion of the Maryland-set show.
The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion begins on Sunday, March 31 at 8/7c on Bravo. Episodes of the series stream the next day on Peacock.
