Real Housewives of Atlanta star Brit Eady has filed a $20 million lawsuit that claims she was harmed when co-star Kenya Moore displayed sexually explicit images during filming of season 16.

The suit names Bravo, NBCUniversal, and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America as defendants.

Eady, 37, filed the complaint on Thursday, June 5, in New York State Supreme Court.

According to The Independent, which was among the first outlets to obtain a copy of the lawsuit, Eady says she was defamed and suffered emotional injury by the images that Moore had placed on posters and displayed at her salon opening in 2024.

Besides defamation and emotional distress, Eady’s suit alleges sexual harassment and the fostering of a hostile work environment.

The claims stem from the June 2024 taping of an episode titled “About Last Night.”

As previously reported, the episode aired on April 6, 2025. It showed Moore celebrating the grand opening of her Kenya Moore Hair Spa in Atlanta, alongside fellow RHOA cast members Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley and Eady.

Eady left the event early, after Moore rejected a peace offering she made for a dispute the two had earlier in the season.

Kenya said the apology was fake because Brit was “looking for a moment.” The former Miss USA then revealed explicit photos she had placed on poster boards, leading up to the final poster, with the words written it: “Who Is This Ho?”

The explicit image was blurred out for television but it allegedly showed a woman, believed at the time to be Brit, performing oral sex. Moore said she obtained the picture with help from a private investigator.

The other co-stars recoiled in horror and told Moore she had gone “too far” before walking out.

Eady’s court documents claims “Moore also displayed posters containing written false and defamatory statements regarding Plaintiff and her occupation, as well as an explicit photograph depicting a woman engaged in graphic sexual conduct. The cast member falsely claimed that the photograph depicted the Plaintiff.”

The lawsuit alleges that Eady was never shown the explicit photo before the episode aired, even though she claims she repeatedly asked to see it.

In an Instagram story on June 5, Eady confirmed she skipped The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 16 reunion taping and said the woman in the photo “was not me.”

Eady said she chose not to attend the taping after everything that happened.

“The events of this season have devastated me, and while I cannot say much right now, I do want to set the record straight about one thing: the graphic sexual photo surrounding the events in Episode 5. That photo was not me,” she wrote.

Moore was also absent. According to People magazine, she was “not invited.” Reps for the network did not respond to the outlet’s request for comment.

Eady said that the images shown almost led to her losing her insurance license.

“I do not know who was in that photo, but upon seeing it for the first time recently, I now know it was not me,” Eady claimed, adding that she was “seeking accountability and moving past” the incident.

Moore had originally signed on for season 16 of the Bravo reality series, but was “suspended indefinitely” after the salon opening incident.
