Former BET host Big Tigger announced Sunday he is stepping away from his Atlanta radio show to focus on his family and an ongoing domestic violence case.
The media personality released a statement on social media July 5, saying he would be temporarily leaving his show on V-103 radio.
“For as long as I’ve been in this industry, my focus has always been to keep the spotlight on the culture and the incredible people I get to interview,” the statement began. “But right now, my personal life is in the public eye and has become the subject of overwhelming speculation and misinformation.”

The radio host, whose legal name is Darian Morgan, said the most difficult part of the situation is being away from his son, adding that he wants to focus on his legal case.
“So I’ve decided to step away from the mic for a while to focus on my family and give my legal team the room they need,” he continued. “As I previously said, I unequivocally deny every allegation, and I am looking forward to clearing my name.”
Morgan, a former host of BET’s Rap City, was arrested last month in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
According to Fulton County jail records, he was charged with aggravated battery and third-degree cruelty to children. He was released after posting $10,000 bond.
The charges stemmed from a May 9 incident involving his wife, Alicia Brown. According to police, Brown said Morgan shoved her into a door inside their home office during an argument after she confronted him about text messages with a female co-worker.
The incident was captured by a Ring security camera, and TMZ published the footage online.
Police said Brown suffered a deep cut above her left eye, leading to the aggravated battery charge. Prosecutors also charged Morgan with third-degree cruelty to children because the couple’s 13-year-old son was home during the incident and allegedly heard the altercation.
After the incident, Brown posted a video on social media and suggested Morgan was cheating with co-host Francesca Amiker, which he denied.
On June 30, 2026, Amiker filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Brown for making “false and defamatory statements,” and describing the journalist as a “mistress and homewrecker.”
“Amiker has not engaged in an affair with Defendant’s husband,” the lawsuit says. “Amiker and Defendant’s husband are merely professional colleagues with a working relationship.”
The lawsuit states Amiker joined the radio station as Morgan’s co-host on May 11, 2026. The complaint says she has suffered “anxiety, fear, humiliation, embarrassment” as a result of Brown’s statements.
Morgan has denied all of Brown’s allegations against him. His criminal case is still pending in Fulton County.
