Ray J is setting his sights on a new opponent after defeating Orlando Brown in a celebrity boxing match.
The “One Wish” singer cruised to a unanimous-decision win over Brown on Aug. 15, during a Zeus Network influencer fight before the Claressa Shields vs. Kaye Scott match in Atlanta. Shields defeated Scott in the sixth round, according to Men’s Health.
Ray J, whose real name is William Ray Norwood Jr., entered the arena alongside his superstar sister Brandy Norwood, before battling it out for three rounds with That’s So Raven actor Brown.
In an interview with Fight Hub TV after the match, Ray J talked about his victory.
“We’re all having fun, but it’s always good to win,” he said.
When asked who he would fight next, Ray J quickly responded.
“They say Jake Paul,” he replied.

The Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star admitted he needs to step up his training before taking on the YouTube star, who defeated former boxing champion Mike Tyson in November 2024, during a Netflix match.
“I gotta go back to the drawing board,” Ray J said. “But I think if I do train and I work hard, I think I can beat him. I think I can f—k him up really bad. But I just gotta figure out how much time do we have. But we’ll see.”
So far, there’s been no official word about a match between Ray J and Paul.
The “I Hit It First” singer’s victory over Brown came three months after he suffered a brutal knockout loss to YouTuber and comedian Supa Hot Fire at a celebrity MMA event in Las Vegas.
Ray J made it through the first round of the May fight, but Supa Hot Fire landed a knockout punch in the second round. The singer was hospitalized afterward, but recovered and returned to the ring.
The reality star’s decision to continue fighting has raised concerns because of his recent health problems. In January, he was hospitalized for chest pains and pneumonia. Then in a troubling post on social media, he told his followers his heart was functioning at just 25 percent.
He also suggested doctors said he only had months to live if he didn’t make serious lifestyle changes. Still, Ray J went forward with the celebrity boxing match against Brown and walked away with his first victory.
Now, he appears ready to pursue an even bigger challenge.
