It seems just about everyone is following the Kendrick Lamar vs Drake feud, including President Joe Biden’s campaign staffers.

The Biden-Harris campaign released a hip-hop themed video on social media Thursday, May 9, featuring lyrics from Kendrick Lamar’s new diss track titled “Euphoria.”

The 13-second campaign video takes aim at Biden’s political rival, former President Donald Trump. The clip starts with a photo of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris smiling as Kendrick’s original lyrics play in the background.

“It’s always been about love and hate, now let me say I’m the biggest hater/ I hate the way that you walk, the way that you talk/ I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way that you sneak diss/ if I catch flight, it’s gon’ be direct,” Kendrick raps.

A photo of Trump wearing a red MAGA hat then appears on screen, with the Biden camp adding their own spin on the lyrics.

“I hate the way that you walk over women’s rights, the way that you talk about immigrants/ I hate the way that you dress/ I hate the way that you sneak diss on Truth Social.”

Reaction to the video on X (formerly Twitter) was split.

“More of this please. I’m here for Dark Brandon and that’s it!” one person replied to the post.

“Love it,” another person wrote.

But others said the campaign missed the mark.

“Nah this ain’t it bro,” someone replied.

“Nah lol, talk about clout chasing tho but creative,” someone else shared, suggesting the campaign was trying to capitalize on attention surrounding the hip-hop feud.

Over the past couple of weeks, Drake and Kendrick have unleashed a string of diss tracks with accusations about secret children, plastic surgery, domestic violence and even allegations of cavorting with underage girls.

The insults were set to songs titled “Push Ups,” “Taylor Made Freestyle,” “6:16 In LA,” “Family Matters,” “Meet The Grahams,” “Not Like Us,” “The Heart Part 6,” plus “Euphoria.”

Kendrick’s “Not Like Us” was so popular, it broke the all-time record for biggest single day streams of a hip-hop song in US Spotify history, Chart Data reported earlier this week.

    1. It’s poetry for the masses and anything but brain dead. It takes significant creativity to compose a poem that matches musical rythm and beat.
Many dislike hip hop for racial reasons or it’s reliance or ethnic dialect (ebonics); however, country also incorporates regional idioms, so does blue grass. This was the case 19th century Irish tunes, too.
You can’t compare hip hop and rock because one relies on language while the other is more about instruments than lyrics.

  1. next level cringe.

it’s like the kids staffing Biden’s work are really the rejects we imagine.

  2. Of course, they can’t very well compare President Trump’s track record with that of 0bama or Brandon. Which is why they are so desperate to force him out of the race with lawfare instead of letting the American people decide. On the merits they’ll lose and lose big. So any diversion is welcome.

  3. Wow, so this is the state of America today? Seriously? This is how we decide our leadership? Through online video memes and publicity stunts? No, not everybody is following some stupid “rap feud”. Some if us are actually adults.

This is why the rest of the world laughs at us. Because we are a clown show. Pathetic.

    1. No! I can’t think of a president who hasn’t relied on his team for council in both policy and campaigning. The mark of a good president is the ability to build a solid administration, and with selections like Lloyd Austin and Janet Yellen just to name a few, Biden has done an excellent job.
No president us his own campaign manager and this goes for Trump, too. He may shoot his mouth off but the heavy lifting has gone to his managers. Would Trump has even won 2016 if not for Paul Manafort passing campaign demographic analytics, down to zip code, to Russian agents for use at troll farms. And before you deny this even was documented in the Muller Report

  4. Fact is, Biden has no clue how to even do this. His people (young gen X a-holes) are doing it. Plainly for the Trump hating constituents. Does this change anyone’s mind?

  5. So the most powerful white man in the world appropriates art he doesn’t know anything about in an attempt to stay in power? Nah, I’m good.
