Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has taken another shot at Power creator Courtney A. Kemp, this time dragging her personal life into their feud.

The hip-hop mogul made an unsubstantiated allegation about Kemp after she responded to disparaging comments he made about her in a recent interview with Variety.

When asked by the outlet if there was anyone he’s “clashed with” on a project, 50 Cent mentioned Kemp and said he has no plans to collaborate with her again.

“I don’t look forward to working with her ever again. I don’t think that she’s wholeheartedly a bad person, I just think that it got out of control for her,” he said while promoting his new film Street Fighter.

50 Cent, who executive produced Power and played gangster Kanan Stark, then accused Kemp of taking too much credit for the show’s success — a claim he previously made to GQ in July.

This time, he also criticized spending on the series, claimed production costs shot up to nearly $12 million per episode, and questioned why the show’s wardrobe was purchased instead of obtained through promotional exchanges.

Kemp disputed his claims in a statement to Variety.

“While 50’s recollection of budgets and production requirements is uninformed, as he was rarely in a budget meeting, I have never once understated his importance in the genesis of Power. While he did not write nor create the series, he was a large part of its birth,” she said.

Kemp also questioned why 50 Cent continues to discuss her publicly, considering Power ended in 2020.

“That said, I am completely bewildered by his need to mention me in interviews or podcasts. I have completely moved on in my career, and I hope that the imminent success of Street Fighter allows him to do the same,” the Nemesis creator added.

50 Cent did not appreciate her comment. He posted a screenshot of Kemp’s response to Instagram on Oct. 18, and added an allegation about her relationships with people working on the show.

“Wow Variety ask me who I wasn’t looking forward to working with again so I said Courtney, I thought I was being nice I didn’t even mention her sleeping with cast and crew members,” he wrote without providing evidence to support the allegation.

50 Cent falling out with former colleagues is nothing new. He’s also publicly had disputes with Starz and several actors.

In 2021, he criticized Power Book III: Raising Kanan star Patina Miller on social media and said she was “on some Black women power sh–,” after she asked him to leave her out of his feuds.

In 2022, the mogul claimed he was “getting the f–k away” from Starz for not renewing Power Book IV: Force quickly enough.

In a 2024 interview on “The Breakfast Club,” he bashed Power star Omari Hardwick, said the actor “overvalues himself,” and suggested interest in Hardwick faded after he left Power.

He’s also been critical of BMF star Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr. In an Instagram post earlier this month, 50 Cent said the crime drama was canceled because Lil Meech “kept getting in trouble.”
