With just under two weeks before the 2024 election, it now appears pop icon Beyoncé is joining Vice President Kamala Harris on the campaign trail.

Beyoncé will attend a Houston rally with the Democratic presidential contender on Friday evening, NBC News reports.

The information comes from three sources who are familiar with the rally plans.

One of those sources, who reportedly has direct knowledge of the preparations, shared that the singer is expected to perform at the rally too.

Since her first official presidential campaign event, Harris has been using  Beyoncé’s 2016 song “Freedom” as her anthem — of course, she was granted permission from the musician.

Harris’ campaign spokesman Ian Sams did confirm Wednesday, Oct. 23 on X, formerly Twitter, that Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles be attending the rally along with country music legend Willie Nelson. Though Sams didn’t comment on Beyoncé joining the event.

The “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer rarely goes to political rallies, though because of her popularity, there have been plenty of past rumors that she was going to attend events.

One rumor was back in August, when reports swirled that she was going to be part of the Democratic National Convention, which of course never happened.

One of the last times Beyoncé attended and performed at a campaign rally was in 2016 in Ohio. It was during the final days of then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

On Tuesday, Oct. 22, rapper Eminem attended a campaign rally in Detroit, where he introduced Obama.

Since becoming the Democratic party nominee, Harris has been endorsed by several popular musicians including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Charli XCX.
