Classes will end after eight seasons of All American.
The CW made the announcement in a press release on Monday, June 2, saying the high school football drama has been renewed for an eighth and final season.
“How do I condense into just a few words what would be the longest love letter to this show, the fans, the cast, crew, staff, and producers,” said executive producer Nkechi Okoro Carroll. “My heart is so filled with love and gratitude for everyone who helped bring All American to life and kept it going for its historic run.”

Since All American’s 2018 debut, the series has become one of The CW’s most successful hits, rising to become the network’s No. 1 primetime entertainment program in the adults 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, the network said. The series is also the No. 1 performer on The CW app.
Season 7 concluded last month with a cliffhanger and a high-stakes playoff game between the Beverly High Eagles and the South Crenshaw Chargers.
The series has had a number of cast departures over the years, including Daniel Ezra (Spencer), Samantha Logan (Olivia), Cody Christian (Asher), Karimah Westbrook (Grace), Monét Mazur (Laura) and Chelsea Tavares (Patience), with some returning in guest roles.
The current cast includes Michael Evans Behling, Greta Onieogou, Bre-Z, Nathaniel McIntyre, Osy Ikhile, Alexis Chikaeze, and Kareem Grimes.
“Since the moment All American kicked off, the audience fell in love with these characters and their heartfelt stories,” said Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group and WBD US Networks. “Season 7 provided a rare opportunity to keep this world for the fans while introducing new characters alongside some beloved favorites. I couldn’t be more thrilled to see this story continue for an eighth and final season.”
The show’s seventh season averaged 514,000 viewers (with delayed playback), down 33 percent from season 6, according to TV Line.
All American comes from Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios in association with Berlanti Productions. In addition to Nkechi Okoro Carroll, executive producers include Greg Berlanti, Jameal Turner, Sarah Schechter, and David Strauss.
The final season will air in 2026 with 13 new episodes.
