The TV One thriller A Mother’s Intuition is set to premiere in July, the cable network announced this week.

The film takes on a twisted plot involving a distraught woman, her missing newborn baby, and the handsome investigator trying to get to the truth.

Denise Boutté leads the cast as Toni, a young, pregnant woman dealing with the sudden death of her husband. In a bizarre turn of events, Toni is told her baby was stillborn, but her intuition tells her something isn’t right. She suspects a sinister switched-at-birth plot carried off by her doctors.

Matt Cedeño co-stars as the private investigator who helps Toni as she searches for answers.

The cast also includes Tamar Braxton as Dr. Chaundra; Brely Evans as Cicely; Hazel Renee as Simone; Jeff Marchelletta as Dr. Zarada; Rachelle Carson-Begley as Dr. Snyder; and Joaquin Montes as Ramon.

The movie comes from Relevé Entertainment (Kingdom Business and The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel) and is executive produced by Dr. Holly Carter.

In January 2023, TV One announced the film had just wrapped production.

“We are excited to partner with Relevé as we continue to bolster the TV One original film and programming pipeline heading into 2023,” Susan Henry, TV One’s executive producer, said earlier this year. “A Mother’s Intuition will provide our TV One viewers with a gut-wrenching drama, expanding our unique film roster.”

Cas Sigers directed the movie. Keesha Brickhouse, Angela Shin, and Errol Sadler serve as producers.

A Mother’s Intuition premieres Sunday, July 23, at 9/8c on TV One.
