LisaRaye McCoy sat down with TV One’s autobiographical series Uncensored this week for an interview about her life, career and the collapse of her marriage to former Turks and Caicos premier Michael Misick.
The Players Club actress and Misick split in 2008, after two years of marriage. Their divorce happened amid a corruption probe and allegations that Misick with multiple women, including Nicole Murphy, ex-wife of comedian Eddie Murphy.
“The problem was I married a playboy,” LisaRaye said in a clip from Uncensored.
Last month, Nicole sat down with Wendy Williams and denied having an affair with Misick. Referring to a news article, she stated: “It says I broke up someone’s marriage, which is absolutely false.”

LisaRaye said she was fully committed to the marriage and left Hollywood behind.
“When we got married, I had one more season of All of Us. I was going back and forth every weekend and it was killing me,” she explained.
“I had to commit to be this newfound first lady and this new wife, so I left my career and I was a full-time wife and first lady in Turks and Caicos Islands, which is really huge for a city girl because here I am on this island, yes it’s beautiful, but I have no friends,” she said. “I have no family, I have no career.”
LisaRaye said she embraced her role and got involved in the community. Misick began to travel more and he became friends with her All of Us co-star Duane Martin.
“When I introduced them, that was one of the worst things I ever did,” she said about her ex-husband and her former friend. “[Martin] became disrespectful, with introducing my husband to other women, and women that we actually knew as friends and associates.”
Lynn Jeter, McCoy’s friend and mentor, additionally alleged that Martin procured other women for Misick.
“In Turks and Caicos, she opened up her home to [Martin] and he brought other women to her husband,” Jeter said.
“I’m still kind of confused about that one, so needless to say, me and Duane don’t f–k with each other at all.” LisaRaye said. “F–k him.”
