Saturday Night Live regular Leslie Jones bashed President Trump after he called for an investigation of the NBC sketch comedy series.
“This guy is an idiot!! It was a rerun you moron!! #lordhelpusplease,” Jones wrote Sunday on Instagram, referring to Trump’s tweetstorm hours earlier about Saturday night’s repeat of SNL.
The cold open for the episode — which originally aired on Dec. 15, 2018 — showed Alec Baldwin as Trump asking for a Christmas wish, that he’d never been elected president.
POTUS took to Twitter on Sunday morning to bash the “not funny/no talent” show, which frequently mocks him and his administration.

“It’s truly incredible that shows like Saturday Night Live, not funny/no talent, can spend all of their time knocking the same person (me), over & over, without so much of a mention of ‘the other side.’ Like an advertisement without consequences. Same with Late Night Shows,” he tweeted at 7:59 a.m. ET/4:59 a.m. PT.
Trump wasn’t done. Fourteen minutes later posted another tweet and called for the Federal Election Commission and/or the Federal Communications Commission to investigate SNL for possible “collusion” with Democrats.
“Should Federal Election Commission and/or FCC look into this? There must be collusion with the Democrats and, of course, Russia! Such one sided media coverage, most of it Fake News. Hard to believe I won and am winning. Approval Rating 52%, 93% with Republicans. Sorry! #MAGA,” he wrote on Twitter.
Once Jones got wind of the president’s comments, she let loose on Instagram. Her post generated more than 100,000 likes from her followers and Trump detractors.
