Taye Diggs discovers the woman of his dreams is hiding a dangerous side in the upcoming psychological thriller Forever This Ring.

Diggs leads the cast as Maveric Collins, a wealthy entrepreneur and longtime playboy who vowed never to get married. He changes his tune after meeting a beautiful woman who appears to be everything he was searching for.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta alum Erica Mena plays the woman at the center of the chaos.

After the two tie the knot, Maveric realizes his new wife is not who he thought she was, and their seemingly perfect marriage quickly becomes a nightmare.

The newly released teaser trailer offers a glimpse at the woman’s increasingly disturbing behavior.

Maveric tells her “stay away from me!” But she warns him, “If I can’t have you, no one can.”

Loretta Devine, La’Myia Good, Marques Houston, and Charles Malik Whitfield also have roles in the thriller.

Forever This Ring is directed by filmmaker and former music industry insider Chris Stokes. The movie begins streaming Oct. 2 on Turnstr+, coinciding with the official launch of the platform.

Stokes has inked a 20-picture deal with Turnstr+. Earlier this year, he spoke with Variety about his role in launching the new platform.

“I’m excited to scale up another platform — I believe I have an eye for what’s new and what people love to see,” said Stokes.

He previously released projects through BET+ and Tubi, and is the founder and former chairman of Footage Films, where Houston serves as CEO and Juanita Stokes is president.

Turnstr+ describes itself as a free, creator-first streaming platform that combines original programming with opportunities for both emerging and established filmmakers. The service says its goal is to put creators in front of audiences without the “traditional gatekeeping that has defined the industry for years.”

The platform has also signed deals with other filmmakers, including Rhyan LaMarr (Canal Street). His three-picture agreement includes A Good Hand Wasted, starring Terrence Howard, which is scheduled to premiere in November.
