Love & Marriage: Huntsville will soon return to OWN for a drama-filled 12th season.
The new season of the hit reality show premieres Sept. 12, and “even the best plans are tested,” according to OWN.
Season 12 will once again follow Huntsville’s most talked-about friend group as they face emotional breakthroughs, difficult truths, and major changes in their relationships, families and careers.
Martell Holt is celebrating several personal and professional milestones, including earning his builder’s license. But when he introduces a surprise guest to the group, his decision threatens to shake up existing relationships and test his close friendship with Destiny Payton.
Meanwhile, Marsau and LaTisha Scott are approaching their 20th wedding anniversary. As they prepare to mark the milestone, they must also deal with the loss of their first residential investment property.
Chris and Nell Fletcher face a new reality when Nell becomes a full-time caregiver for her aging father.
Maurice and Kimmi Scott are adjusting to life as empty nesters, but an unexpected change and concerns about the future of Maurice’s son add new tension to their lives.
The series premiered in 2019, and follows a group of longtime friends and frenemies who live in Huntsville, Alabama.
OWN renewed the show for a 12th season in May, as previously reported. Along with the renewal news, the network said it ordered a supersized 30 episodes for the upcoming season.
The new season will arrive after the show won Outstanding Unscripted Series at the African American Film Critics Association TV Honors last weekend.
According to OWN, season 11 posted double-digit ratings gains over the previous season across all key demographics. It also ranked as Saturday night’s No. 1 original cable series among African American women ages 25 to 54.
Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 12 debuts Saturday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
