Sheryl Underwood is ready to talk about her feud with Sharon Osbourne.

Underwood is guest hosting The View this week as Alyssa Farah Griffin continues her maternity leave, and shared details about her time at The Talk

During the Tuesday, March 10 episode of the ABC daytime show, celebrity feuds made it into the “Hot Topics” discussion.

At one point, Sunny Hostin turned to Underwood and asked her thoughts since Underwood had an “on-air spat” with Osbourne about race when they co-hosted The Talk.

Underwood corrected Hostin and said the situation was more than a spat, it was a “feud.” Still, the comedian said, “I don’t like to beef with my co-workers.”

Joy Behar asked what the fight was about and Underwood responded, “I don’t know. I was sitting in the middle of it looking around like, ‘what the hell?’”

Hostin had her notes ready and explained, “It started because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did that Oprah Winfrey interview, and the Duchess said, ‘I experienced racism at the hands of the Royal Family.’ And Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne’s friend, really went into it, defending the Royal Family and saying that was not racism. I think, at that point, Sharon Osbourne got involved and defended Piers Morgan and said there wasn’t racism.”

Underwood said she didn’t want to say too much about the situation, at least not right now.

“What I can talk about, because I am writing a book called I’m Fat Because of You, and this will be in the book. But I can say this, [the feud started] a little bit before that,” the comedian explained.

Back in March 2021, Osbourne lost it during a debate about racism. She raised her voice and told Underwood, “I think we should stop this f–king,” before her microphone was muted and Underwood tossed to break. The situation became more heated when the commercial break ended.

In response to the tensions, and criticism from viewers, the show went on a month-long hiatus. CBS opened an internal investigation and Osbourne was fired.

When the show returned, Underwood said she experienced “trauma” during the spat. Meanwhile Osbourne went public and said she “felt betrayed” by the show’s staff.

The comedian remained at The Talk until it was canceled after 15 seasons and ended in December 2024.

Underwood told The View co-hosts she still believes “there’s some love” between she and Osbourne, despite what happened in the past.

“I tried to reach out when Ozzy passed,” she said, referring to Ozzy Osbourne — Sharon’s husband who died in July 2025.
