Younger versions of Tommy and Ghost are coming to Starz in Power: Origins.

The network announced Wednesday, Sept. 10, Charlie Mann (The Watchers and Virdee) will play Tommy Egan, in a role Joseph Sikora originated on Power.

Spence Moore II (Creed III and Brilliant Minds) has been cast as a young James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a part originated by Omari Hardwick

The upcoming drama series will explore the origin story of Ghost and Tommy before they became legends in the drug game.

They’ll be shown “as ambitious young entrepreneurs on the rise, determined to make their mark on the streets of New York City,” according to the official description.

The prequel is the fourth Power spinoff after Power Book II: Ghost; Power Book III: Raising Kanan; and Power Book IV: Force.

In March, Starz announced MeKai Curtis of Raising Kanan will reprise his role as Kanan Stark in the new series.

The fourth season of Raising Kanan aired earlier this year, and the show’s fifth and final season has completed filming, per Starz. Meanwhile, the third and final season of Power Book IV: Force debuts on Nov. 7.

It’s unclear if Force star Joseph Sikora, Power lead Omari Hardwick, or Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who originated the role of Kanan Stark will appear on the new show. Jackson is one of the executive producers on Power: Origins.

Longtime Power universe producer Sascha Penn serves as showrunner and executive produces the prequel series.

“I’m excited to continue to explore the origin stories of the Power Universe’s founding fathers,” Penn previously said. “Ghost and Tommy’s backstories have fueled years of constant fascination and speculation among fans, and I’m thrilled to be able to answer some long-held questions and share new layers of the story that viewers won’t see coming.”

Penn is co-writing the pilot with Courtney A. Kemp, creator and showrunner of the original Power. Kemp is also an executive producer through her End of Episode production company.

Other EPs are Mark Canton through Canton Entertainment, Chris Selak and Pete Chatmon, and 50 Cent via his G-Unit Film and Television banner.

Moore is repped by Independent Artist Group, Venture Entertainment Partners, Viewpoint and Goodwin, Genow, Schenkman, Smelkinson & Christopher.

Mann is repped by Untitled Entertainment, Victoria Lepper Associates, McKuin Frankel Whitehead.

Additional casting details and a premiere date for Power: Origins will be announced later by Starz.
