Brit Eady won’t return for a second season on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Eady announced she decided to “choose peace” instead of staying on the Bravo reality series in a statement posted to Instagram on Monday evening, July 14.

“As I close this chapter, I want to thank everyone who supported me, my friends, my followers, my amazing team, and everyone who defended my name,” she began.

“I decided to walk away from something that no longer serves me because I choose peace over destroying my mental. It’s very easy to say what I should have done, when most have not walked a day in my shoes,” the insurance agency owner continued.

Eady, 37, added that she is still “healing” from her time on the series, and she could not remain at the place that made her “sick.”

She concluded by writing: “My journey here is done.”

Eady uploaded the post one day after part 1 of the 3-part RHOA season 16 reunion aired.

She did not attend the reunion, but included several photos of herself dressed in the stunning gold gown she would have worn had she taken part in the reunion, which this season features the cast wearing yellow and gold designs.

It’s unclear if she would have been invited back for another season.

In June, Brit filed a $20 million civil lawsuit claiming she was harmed when former co-star Kenya Moore displayed allegedly sexually explicit images of her during filming of season 16.

The complaint, which was filed on June 5, in New York State Supreme Court, alleged she was defamed and said she suffered emotional injury by the images that Moore placed on posters around her Atlanta salon for the grand opening as cameras rolled in 2024.

The suit named Bravo, NBCUniversal, and production companies True Original and Endemol Shine North America as defendants, as previously reported.

The incident aired on April 6, 2025, during an episode titled “About Last Night.” The episode showed Moore inside her Kenya Moore Hair Spa alongside fellow RHOA cast members Porsha Williams, Cynthia Bailey, Drew Sidora, Shamea Morton, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley and Eady.

Eady left the event early, after Moore rejected a peace offering she made for a dispute the two previously had.

Kenya said the apology was fake because Brit was “looking for a moment.”

The explicit images allegedly showed a woman, believed at the time to be Brit, performing oral sex. Moore said she obtained them with help from a private investigator. Moore was “suspended indefinitely” from the series over the stunt

In an Instagram story on June 5, Eady said she skipped the RHOA season 16 reunion taping and insisted the woman in the photo “was not me.”
