Angela Bassett and Robert De Niro team up to solve the crime of the century in the trailer for Netflix limited series Zero Day.
The streamer released the first official teaser for the upcoming conspiracy thriller on Monday, Dec. 23.
The video shows the destruction after a devastating cyberattack claims 3,402 lives around the country.
“Plane crashes, train derailments, total chaos,” De Niro says in the video. “Whoever is responsible for this attack, they’re dangerous and they say they’re going to do this again.”
The Oscar-winning actor plays a former president tasked with finding the perpetrators before they inflict more damage.

Bassett co-stars as the current president. She tells De Niro Congress has authorized special powers to do whatever it takes to find those responsible.
“We’re just gonna grab people off the streets without warrants?” De Niro asks.
“Actually, you are,” Bassett tells him.
“People believe what they want to believe. The truth is the truth, but it’s not always the most important thing,” she says.
The star-studded cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Joan Allen, Connie Britton, Matthew Modine, and Lizzy Caplan.
Guest stars are Bill Camp, Dan Stevens, Gaby Hoffmann, Clark Gregg, and McKinley Belcher III.
The series is created and executive produced by Eric Newman (Narcos and Narcos: Mexico), Noah Oppenheim (Jackie and The Maze Runner), and Pulitzer Prize winner Michael S. Schmidt.
Additional executive producers are Jonathan Glickman and Robert De Niro.
The series includes six one-hour episodes.
Zero Day begins streaming Feb. 20, 2025 on Netflix.
