The season 20 champion of Food Network’s Worst Cooks in America has been charged, along with her husband, with the death of their 3-year-old adopted daughter.

According to local television station Fox Carolina, Ariel Robinson, 29, and her husband Jerry Robinson, 34, were arrested last Tuesday in connection to the little girl’s death.

The TV station reported the Greenville County Coroner’s Office identified the child as the couple’s daughter, Victoria Rose Smith, and determined her cause of death to be multiple blunt force injuries.

Police in Simpsonville, South Carolina said they responded to a call on Jan. 14, on an unresponsive juvenile victim who was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Deadline reports the Food Network has pulled all footage and episodes from season 20. The content is no longer available on Discovery+, Hulu or the network’s YouTube page either.

The competition was recorded in February 2020 and aired later in the year.

Robinson won a $25,000 prize. She recently retired as a teacher, and started a career as a budding comedian under the stage name Ari Robinson.

According to her Instagram page, she announced in December 2019 that she was adopting three children and regularly uploaded photos of her daughter’s hairdos and outfits.

The little girl’s death remains under investigation by police.
