Trey Songz was arrested during Sunday night’s AFC championship game at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for trespassing, resisting arrest and for assaulting a police officer.
TMZ reports the “Mr. Steal Your Girl” singer was released from custody on Monday morning.
The outlet reported the R&B performer was seated at the game where the Kansas City Chiefs won a trip to the Super Bowl. A witness reported Songz was getting heckled by people seated behind him before an officer came over and approached him.
There are reports Songz was approached by the officer for refusing to wear a mask, in violation of the stadium’s coronavirus protocols.
